Management Measures for Elective Courses and Activity Courses of Chengdu Shishi Tianfu Middle School, Sichuan Province
During their study at school, students must take a certain number of elective courses and activity courses on the premise of ensuring the study of compulsory courses.
Elective courses and activity courses implement a credit system. Each elective course is worth 2 credits (school-level extracurricular activity groups for music, art, physical education, and psychology are worth 3 credits per semester). Students must earn 8 credits in both junior high school and high school stages, and obtain the "Elective Course Qualification Certificate" issued by the school before they can obtain the graduation qualification of the corresponding grade.
Elective courses and activity courses are provided with course guides by each teaching and research group and lesson preparation group. Students independently choose based on their own interests and needs, but must complete the required credits.
Elective courses and activity courses are organized and implemented by the Academic Affairs Office. Counselor teachers are responsible for attendance and assessment of students; each teaching and research group is responsible for the implementation of teachers and specific teaching arrangements; the Moral Education Office and Academic Affairs Office are responsible for supervision and inspection of elective courses and activity courses, and coordination of various aspects during the course implementation process; the Academic Affairs Office is responsible for verifying students' enrollment in elective courses and activity courses, and issuing the "Elective Course Qualification Certificate".
Students must strictly abide by discipline when participating in elective courses and activity courses. No lateness, no early leave, no absence. If a student is absent for more than 2 times in a course (2 late arrivals count as 1 absence, early leave is regarded as absence), the credit for that course will be 0.
Students must cherish public property when participating in elective courses and activity courses, earnestly complete the work and various forms of assignments arranged by the teacher, actively participate in various activities after class, and pass the after-class assessment and evaluation.
The grades obtained by students in elective courses and activity courses should be reported to the school in a timely manner. The school will select the evaluation results of elective courses and activity courses based on the reported grades and record them in the student file.
